Children attending these programs require support with learning due primarily to Neurological Disabilities and/or Autism. Environmental structure and positive behavioral supports are individualized for students to assist in processing and communicating information. Students require structured teaching of social protocol. Academics are individualized and focus on maximizing students strengths. The curriculum is closely aligned to the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks. Therapy services are emphasized to address skill development, particularly in the areas of communication, language development, and sensory integration. Notes: All 180-day programs have extended school year components available. Students attending elementary school programs may receive a variety of related services, i.e. Counseling, Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language, Physical Therapy, as specified in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
